I write this after having had this charging cable for just one day and one use, and so far I'm happy with the purchase. Just a couple of thoughts:1) Quite a number of users have mentioned that the there is a tight fit such that the charger is difficult to insert into the car's receptacle and/or difficult to remove. It's true that it is a tight fit for my 2022 RAV4 Prime, but I didn't have any problem plugging it in or removing it.2) One of the main reasons I purchased this particular cable was that the cable is advertised as 25 feet long, and I need approximately that length to reach the receptacle on my car. While it probably is really 25 feet long, I would say that at least 6 feet of that is the thinner segment of cable between the wall outlet and the controller, which means that I can't secure the controller to the wall; I have to let it hang.3) The cable comes with a nice carrying case.My current cord to charge my all-electric car went bad and I REALLY needed a new cord. They got it to me the NEXT DAY! Thanks, everyone for helping me be able to drive my car!!!Bought this for my 2022 X5 hybrid. The car only charges to max of 16 amps so there was no reason to overpay for amps I don’t need. This charger was $200 and gives me what I need. Charges 30-40 electric miles in about 4-5 hours! I did need my electrician to install a proper 240v outlet but that wasn’t a problem. Very happy so far.Picked this up after recently buying a used Cadillac ELR. The 12 amp portable charger that comes with the ELR (same as the Chevy Volt) takes up to 12 hours to charge the small battery from 0 to full. Not a huge deal, charging it overnight isn’t an issue for me, but I was getting fairly tired of unpacking and stowing the portable charger daily (I know, 1st world problem). So after some looking around decided to give this small charger a look since I don’t exactly need anything big or powerful.Getting a 10 30 NEMA receptacle installed was pretty simple, small investment with an electrician and thankfully my house breaker panel had plenty of space and ability to handle the double pole breaker that connected to the receptacle. I kept it close to the panel to save on expense and everything worked out well once it was installed (see pictures).Once the charger arrived installing all the pieces was super simple, I mounted everything to the studs on either side of my electrical panel after some fiddling and measuring (I got the 25 foot version, where I have it mounted lets me park the car in the garage or either side of the driveway and still reach the driver’s side charge port on my ELR), I got it all together, plugged it in and checked the myCadillac app to see how long the charge would take (it was at 0).4 hoursI actually got in the car to check the dashboard and confirmed the app report. It cut the charge time by 2/3rds. Couldn’t be happier with that result. The plug is snug and secure in the car and the cable is nice and stout but easy to coil up and hang with the handy little hang hook. This is billed as a portable charger but the nice case and box that came with it will likely reside in my garage and the charger itself will stay on my wall. The portable charger in the car is adequate for traveling and there’s always the gas engine in the car so I’m more than happy with this small investment.One oddity, the charger itself only had one mount point at the top which seemed a bit odd and extending the cable caused the charger to flop around on the wall a bit. I solved it by mounting a single point conduit clamp on the wall to hold the cable down. It’s for sure not a deal breaker, and you may not even ever want to hang it up, but I did. Also the included screws that came with it worked, but I didn’t like how short they were so I used longer drywall screws to screw everything into the walls. The pictures show when I have the charger connected to my car and how I stow it while it’s not in use. I really thought the plug holster was a great idea so the plug tip itself isn’t flopping around somewhere. The screw holes line up with the mounting plate with the hang hook but I wanted the plug higher on the wall so I separated them.Great item, very happy with it. And it came with a one year warranty.Edit: no idea why the pictures are sideways, I tried uploading them twice and then switched to my iPad. They were always turned. Tilt your head to the right.Best replacement or second charger at a price that makes sense ! Zero issues , it is made better at a higher quality than my OEM charger !Llego a tiempo. So far so good. Easy to use. No ComplaintsI’m usually a believer that you get what you pay for, but after seeing the reviews I gave it a chance and bought this charger. It’s been a few weeks and works great! Literally cut my charging time in half compared to level 1 charging.One word of advice : DO NOT USE THIS OUTSIDE. Mine caught songs rain for 30 minutes and completely filed with water.Luckily, the interface did its job and showed me a fault and prevented charging. Once i opened it and let it dry, it worked fine again...I would recommend this to anyone who's looking for a budget charging solution and can park inside.
